In recent years, the idea of Filipinos thriving in the K-pop industry has transitioned from a distant dream to an exciting reality.
Back then, the spotlight shone primarily on soloist and Filipino American singer Kriesha Chu, who ventured into South Korea’s music scene and, of course, 2NE1’s Sandara Park, who became a K-pop icon and an inspiration to many.
This year, however, the stage isn’t limited to just two Filipinos – it’s expanding to include more talented individuals making their mark in the industry.

Prior to this achievement, JL was part of the P-pop group PLUUS.
The success doesn’t stop there. In Universe Ticket, another audition program under the same label, Elisia Parmisano clinched the top spot, earning her a place in the K-pop girl group UNIS.
Joining her in the group are two other Filipina idols, Gehlee Dangca and Jin Hyeon-ju.
