MANILAhuuugebet, Philippines — The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on Tuesday announced that it recovered evidence worth a total of P1.758 billion and arrested over 1,000 individuals in its anti-crime operations last November.

Fourteen operations against smuggling and counterfeit products yielded 32 arrests, and the confiscation of evidence valued at P1,738,773,050, the CIDG said.

It added that in nine operations, authorities seized materials worth P19,492,049 and arrested 18 individuals in CIDG’s campaign against illegal liquified petroleum gas refining and manufacturing.

Meanwhile, in the group’s anti-illegal gambling initiatives, authorities in 52 operations apprehended 78 suspects and confiscated P186,860 in bet money.

CIDG also executed 83 operations in enforcing the Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, arresting 103 individuals as well as confiscating 1,232 rounds of ammunition, 92 small firearms, 12 light weapons, and 9 explosives.

Additionally, CIDG apprehended 881 most wanted persons and 564 other wanted persons, but it did not provide a breakdown per region or province, wanted level, or crime committed.

The group also said it arrested six individuals in its anti-terrorism efforts but did not disclose further details.

CIDG also touted its November 6 operation shutting down an illegal cigarette manufacturing and distribution network in Bulacan province and Valenzuela City. Authorities confiscated P2.4 billion worth of counterfeit goods and equipment.
